Adrian Reilly (Composer / Author)
Adrian has been composing since his teens, having first written songs for the Youth Theatre he attended. At University, he collaborated on the songs for a musical version of Medea and composed and recorded the electronic soundtrack for a dance theatre piece, Under Glass. As an adult, his return to the south coast resulted in a return to Worthing Youth Theatre where he was composer in residence between 1997 and 2016, creating new music and songs for children's shows such as Peter Pan, The Little Prince and A Midsummer Nightmare. A wide range of influences were reflected in these compositions, which touched on jazz, classical music, electronic music, folk songs and contemporary trends in pop music.
During his ten years as a teacher, which is how he and Jenny Alborough met, Adrian was the Musical Director on several school musicals and the choral arranger for his school's collaboration with Glyndebourne Opera.
